Milwaukee MW700 PRO Lux (Light) Meter
The MW700 is a portable Lux meter designed to perform light measurements from 0 to 50000 Lux. This handy and ergonomically designed Lux meter is ideal for anyone looking for fast and reliable light measurements. This meter is suitable for a wide range of application. Note that the sensor is NOT waterproof.Average indoor lighting ranges from 100 to 1000 Lux and average outdoor sun lights about 50000 Lux. Lux is a unit that indicates the density of light that falls on a surface. The human eye is sensitive only to blue, green, and red light, so in calculating the Lux falling on an object, only the light that the human eye sees is counted. When only infrared light falls on an object, the Lux is counted as zero since our eyes see nothing. Mathematically, a spectral weighting function becomes convolved with the actual illumination spectrum to calculate Lux exactly. This is the formal definition of Lux and it makes Lux an unusual unit of measure. Still, Lux can be thought of as a way of measuring light in terms of what our eyes perceive. The metric unit of measure for luminance of a surface. One Lux is equal to one Lumen per square meter. One Lux equals 0.0929 footcandles. Managing conductivity helps growers pinpoint fertilizer and other needs.DESIGN FEATURES- The design of the MW802 is focused on simple operation and ruggedness. With a single probe, big screen, easy calibration, the MW802 is exceptionally simple to operate.- A tough meter build and a rugged but replaceable probe means that you can expect years of use.- The Milwaukee PRO Combo meter offers:pH, conductivity / nutrient EC, TDS (ppm) with automatic temperature compensation.A replaceable, integrated pH, EC, and TDS (ppm) probe with a single 3 foot cable for easy use (SE600 probe included).A fiber junction on the pH sensor to reduce contamination when measuring fertilizer solutions.A light weight and portable form factor at just 5.8 ounces with battery and just over 3 inches wide.A large easy to read display.Factory calibration with a simple, single point manual calibration for both pH and EC.A reputation for a rugged build and long lifeSpecialized design for hydroponic, aquaponic, and greenhouse growers.WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING"Superb meter, easy to use, great customer service.""Best meter I have ever owned.""The best meter on the market and Milwaukee customer service is the best.""I have owned this meter for almost 8 years and only replaced the probe once. The calibration nobs are easy to use, and even when I am less then gentle with the thing it keeps on going. I wouldn't consider any other meter."CARE AND USEThe MW802 PRO Combo Meter includes both a pH and EC sensor in the SE600 integrated probe. All pH sensors have a limited life and response time gets longer with age. EC sensors are more robust but can still be affected by residue build up. Both need maintenance. Properly maintaining your probe will give you fast, accurate results for longer. So, be sure to order the Milwaukee codes MA9015 and MA9016 at checkout time! This will be needed to help clean and condition the pH/EC electrode before use! Here are our top four tips.1. Always store with the cap full of buffer or storage solution MA9015 not water.2. Clean your probe regularly by soaking in cleaning solution MA9016.3. Calibrate after cleaning and/or storage before testing to adjust for changes in the pH and EC sensor.4. Gently stir the probe in the sample for a faster result.Thank you for considering Milwaukee to help you take your results to the next level.

Remove the membraneTake the membrane off the end of the probe and dry the diode off.2. Zero out the displayConnect the probe to the base unit and turn the unit on. Your display should read 0.0. If it does not, go to the position “0” screw on the front of the unit with the screw driver provided and through the access hole make the unit display read 0.0.3. Fill the membraneGo to the membrane and put the “O” ring inside the membrane on the shoulder at the base of the threads. Fill the membrane to just short of the “O” ring with MA9071 electrolyte solution. Be sure that there are no bubbles inside the membrane. (Air bubbles are the main cause of calibration failure)4. Attach the membraneScrew the membrane on to the probe.5. Let stablizeTurn the meter on and hang the probe off the end of a table pointing down and let the unit display stabilize (this may take 5 to 15 minutes)6. AdjustPush down and hold the “Cal” button on the front face of the meter and with the screwdriver go to the front Cal position “100%” and make the display read 100.You are now calibrated.EXTRA TIPS- Watch for the membrane having wrinkles or stretch marks. If you see wrinkles, replace with a new membrane.- Always use fresh electrolyte solution (MA9071).
