Most commercial beer is fermented under pressure just due to the size of commercial tanks and the pressure that is created by the column of beer. It is one of the differences between commercial brewing and homebrewing. The lid has a built in relief valve that will blow at 35psi and we strongly recommend you also purchase an adjustable pressure relief valve, or blow tie kit, that allows you to set a lower pressure. It is also always a good idea to have two relief valves on the FermZilla anytime the unit is under pressure. Carbonating, Pushing, and Serving:When you are fermenting under pressure the beer is already carbonated when you are done fermenting. You can control the level of carbonation by using an adjustable pressure relief. The idea is that the FermZilla can eliminate kegging and you can serve directly from the fermenter. We love this idea but there will probably still be times that you want to keg. Use a beer line to connect the FermZilla to your keg and enjoy the easiest kegging experience ever. You can also choose to send carbonated beer through a beer filter on the way to your keg. When applying pressure with a CO2 tank also make sure that you have a functional relief valve on your CO2 regulator. Lack of OxidationBecause the beer always has a CO2 blanket through fermentation and during any transfers out, oxidation is eliminated. When you cold crash you won't be sucking air back in through an airlock. Most conventional beer taps are designed with 10mm diameter nozzle/spout so you can pour pint in just over 10sec.  This type of flow rate is great for high turnover bars and commercial venues but this high flow rate requirement is not not necessary or desirable for all applications.  For compact portable systems, or for home brew draft systems a slower flow rate is easier to control the flow and further reduces foaming issues due to the low liquid volume stored in the tap body.  This Nukatap mini is also more idea for pouring smaller doses.  For examples cocktails where 150-250ml of liquid is dispensed is difficult to control with a high flow rate tap.  For portable systems this tap and FC ball lock disconnect assembly is small enough to literally put in your pocket making it ideal for mini keg setups that you want to be portable or that you want to easily fit inside a domestic fridge where space is tight.

The Brew Cooler is a waterproof, insulated cooling bag to keep correct fermentation temperature in fermenters up to 30L. Perfect if you dont have space or possibility to place your fermenter in a temperature controlled refrigerator at home.How the Brew Cooler worksThe function is simple, place your fermenter inside the Brew Cooler and add frozen water bottles (preferrably plastic) inside the Brew Cooler to reduce and keep the correct fermentation temperature. The volume of frozen water in the plastic bottles determines how many degrees below room temperature the fermenter will be kept at. The frozen water bottles should preferrably be replaced every 24 hours, or when needed.1. Place the Brew Cooler at a suitable location in your home. Place your fermenter with wort inside the Brew Cooler.2. Place the correct number of frozen water bottles inside the Brew Cooler according to the Temperature Chart below.3. Close Brew Cooler zip locks.4. An ale can theoretically be fermented at room temperature, 20-22°C, however it will taste the cleanest when fermented around 18°C, at least the first 3-4 days of fermentation. Lagers should be fermented at 10-12°C.
